Vests in the fall and winter are one of my favorites items to wear! I love that you can layer them in so many different looks! They can be worn casually or dressed up. I decided to pull together some of my favorite looks from last year wearing this gorgeous olive vest from Old Navy. As you can see this was a piece that I wore often and in many different ways. What is your favorite look? Can you tell that Stripes are my favorite pattern to pair it with?
For Work Wear Wednesday this week, I wanted to style a fun and work worthy look for this vest. I absolutely love knitted vest. They are perfect for fall especially when you want to layer. This vest from Baciano (use code MUSINGSOFASHOPAHOLICMAMA2017 for 30% off )is a perfect blue coloring with a marbling effect. I love that it has pockets and a hood. When styling this vest I knew I wanted to try a button up to make it a dressier for the work place. I choose this blue window pane blouse because the colors were a perfect match.

When I don’t know what to pair with a work look I always tend to grab for my black skinny jeans. These are a closet staple that I cannot live without! They go with just about anything! If you don’t have a good pair of black skinnies you need to pick up a pair. The Loft has a pair that I absolutely love, and the curvy fit is perfect for anyone with a little bit of curves.
To finish off this look I decided to add my cognac boots. There is something about the colors black and cognac together that just makes a statement. Since this blouse and vest make such a statement. I kept my accessories simple. I love necklaces that create dainty layers when I am going simple. How would you style this vest?
I absolutely love fall fashion! I love the layering, scarves, and boots. Most of all though, I LOVE the rich fall colors. They are so vibrant, and you can mix and match pretty much all of them. The colors in this look are no exception. If I would have to choose a favorite fall color it would be hard to come up with one, but I would have to say mustard yellow and burgundy are by far my top two. I have so many variations of these two colors.
I was drawn to this cardigan from Shein for multiple reasons. The first is of course the color! Secondly, I am a sucker for anything this season that is chunky knits. This cardigan from Shein lists its sizing is one size fit all. As much as I loved this sweater though, it is not a one size. If I was putting a size to this it would be a small or medium.
Lately, I noticed I have gotten away from work wear on the blog, and I wanted to focus more on this type of style. I want to bring back looks that can be worn in any type of professional environment. As many of you know, I am a teacher and my looks range from casual to dressy. It really just depends on the day. I do love though dressing up though and the way it makes me feel.

When I saw this Target at Target, I knew that I had to have it! There is nothing more classic than a piece in leopard. I loved the colors and print, I knew there was so much I could wear with this. I decided to keep this look simple and classic with a pair of ankle straight legged dress pants from loft.
A few weeks ago I really wanted to find a new pair of black flats. The pair that I currently own aren’t the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. They work on days where I am not on to go all day long. These Asos Galinsky flats from DSW though are the most comfortable pair of shoes I have owned in a long time. The leather is buttery soft and they made it through two days straight of crazy busy days.
|| Hat: Lane 201 (old) || Jeans:Loft || Shoes:Nike ||We all have those days where we want to dress casually, but still want to love what we wear. On the weekends, I tend to dress a lot more casual than I do during the week. Both of my boys are involved in various sports, and I spend a lot of time running them from one activity to the next. We just finished the soccer season, and now we are moving to basketball. To say comfort is key is an understatement.

One of my favorite things to through on while lounging at home is hooded sweatshirts. Many of mine though are not cute enough for me to feel put together. This double hooded sweatshirt on the other hand is double the cuteness! I love the rich burgundy color that is perfect for fall and into winter. The grey lining of the sweatshirt brings in pattern mixing subtly for those who are weary of too many patterns.
This outfit I wore out trick or treating with my boys last week. It was cold here in Indiana so layers were a must! I think the key to making a casual outfit look put together is by making sure your hair is done and adding a few accessories. Whether you curl your hair or throw it up in a messy bun both looks can create an overall affect of put togetherness. Since it was chilly I decided to add a cute hat. How do you dress casual, but still feel cute?
