Loft Fitting Room…February 2018

I was able to sneak into Loft this past weekend!  I had accidentally ordered double online trying to get free shipping.  I had read on What Jess Wore how to get the amount you needed for free shipping down to $50.  You can read about the tip here.  I was excited because the total of the 2 items I wanted was $54.  I have been trying very hard not to buy things just because.  I had added a ton of items to my cart previously to get the free shipping, but once I refreshed my history it had all disappeared. I then added everything back to my cart, and when I hit confirm order I found that everything I had added previously was there.  So I ended up with a  much larger order.  On the bright side of things I was able to try a few items on that I had been eyeing!

One of the reasons I love Loft is the quality of the brand, and the sales!  They currently have 40% off starting today so you can bet I am ordering the few items that I really wanted from last weekend!  Use code HAPPY at checkout!

This is actually one of the tops that I ordered online.  I have gained a few pounds this winter and I am not between a small and medium in tops.  I couldn’t decide what size I wanted so I went ahead and tried the medium on in store.  I liked how the medium fit.  It was a little looser, and I thought it would look great with black pants or shorts.  This top will transition beautifully from winter, to spring, and into summer!

This is the only sweater that I bought in store.  Loft wasn’t having a great sale so I decided to wait on the few items that I wanted.  Sweaters though were on sale and I couldn’t pass up this yellow one.  Again, I thought it would be great to wear now and into spring.  I have a pair of palazzo pants that it will look great with!  My store only had a medium in stock. I think though a small would have worked too!

The next sale that Loft has this beauty will be coming home with me!  I love this lace top so much!  I think it will be darling with pants or a skirt!  I tried on a small here and it fit perfectly!

If I didn’t already have so many striped tops this one would definitely be ordered in the next sale!  I love the tie detailing at the wrists and it felt perfectly.  For reference I am wearing a small.

I am currently debating this top!  I loved the fabric and print.  It reminded me of a perfect spring tunic!  What do you think?  For reference I am wearing a small.  What do you think about this one?

This is the other top that I am currently debating. I love the colors and prints so much!  Plus the small bell sleeves at the wrist make it wearable with a cardigan!

I have been eyeing this sweater for a few weeks!  I haven’t been able to pull the trigger though on it quite yet.  I am happy I was able though to try it on.  It was a tad shorter than what I normally like my sweaters.  If you have a shorter toros you will love this sweater!  I am wearing a medium In this sweater and feel like that it fit perfectly.

Tunics for Thanksgiving

Once Halloween hits time seems to go into warp speed.  It is crazy to think that we are only two weeks away from Thanksgiving!  I absolutely love the holidays and gathering with friends and family.  I look forward to Thanksgiving every year, because it is the beginning of the Holiday shopping.  On Thanksgiving, after we eat dinner, we gather around the table with our black Friday ads.  Everyone is making lists and plotting out the next day’s course.  We do not go out on Thanksgiving, but get up before dawn to shop on Friday.

Of course with the Holidays comes Holiday Looks!  I already have this year’s thanksgiving look picked out. Since our Thanksgiving is usually casual I tend to go towards looks that are comfy.  They need to make it through multiple meals and stops.  This Floral Dress from Couture Cottage was an easy choice for this year’s look!  This dress is flowy and definitely forgiving with all the deserts I plan to consume!  This one can definitely be paired with leggings or denim depending on your mood.  I love this floppy hat, but find that I feel a bit awkward wearing it out and about.  My family expects me to be a tad over the top so I don’t feel overdressed wearing it around them.

I had such a hard time choosing just one thing from Couture Cottage.  I also ended up picking up this dress too.  If you are local they are located at Jefferson Pointe.  If you aren’t local you are in luck!  Just follow them on Instagram and comment sold, and fill out the Social Shop form on their site to get items shipped to you.

In looking towards Christmas and New Year’s Eve I have already began outfit planning.  I have a few pieces that I have ordered and cannot wait to style!  What is your go to looks for the holidays?

Double Hoodie, Double the Cuteness

Outfit Details || Top: c/o Outer Grace Boutique
|| Hat: Lane 201 (old) || Jeans:Loft || Shoes:Nike ||We all have those days where we want to dress casually, but still want to love what we wear.  On the weekends, I tend to dress a lot more casual than I do during the week.  Both of my boys are involved in various sports, and I spend a lot of time running them from one activity to the next.  We just finished the soccer season, and now we are moving to basketball.  To say comfort is key is an understatement.

One of my favorite things to through on while lounging at home is hooded sweatshirts.  Many of mine though are not cute enough for me to feel put together.  This double hooded sweatshirt on the other hand is double the cuteness!  I love the rich burgundy color that is perfect for fall and into winter.  The grey lining of the sweatshirt brings in pattern mixing subtly for those who are weary of too many patterns.

This outfit I wore out trick or treating with my boys last week.  It was cold here in Indiana so layers were a must!  I think the key to making a casual outfit look put together is  by making sure your hair is done and adding a few accessories.  Whether you curl your hair or throw it up in a messy bun both looks can create an overall affect of put togetherness.  Since it was chilly I decided to add a cute hat.  How do you dress casual, but still feel cute?

When in Disney for Halloween

When we were in Disney a few weeks ago we went to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.  Last year, I was surprised by the amount of adults in costumes!  I decided to dress up this year, and brought pieces from home that could be interpreted as a Snow White costume.  While hubby and I went on a day date to Disney Springs we decided to do a little shopping.  In one of the shops we found the cutest Disney inspired dresses.  Hubby talked me into buying this adorable apple dress!  If you look closely you will see the dwarves faces in the apples!  I am so happy that I got this dress!  I received so many compliments, and even received an A+ on my dress from a Disney employee.  Hubby needed up talking me into getting this dress and another one that I can also wear to school.  I am excited that we are having costume parade this year so I can wear one of these fun dresses again!  Would you dress up for Halloween at Disney?

Feminine Florals with Matilda Jane

Matilda Jane is a name that is mainly associated with fun and whimsical clothing for young girls.  As a mom of boys I have not had much of a chance to explore the wonderful world of Matilda Jane.  I have loved their pieces for young girls and thanked god that he knew I would be poor if I had girls.

This past year I became aware that Matilda Jane is not just for kids.  They have a women’s line too!  I loved the fun prints, and the built-in pattern mixing that most pieces offer.  I wasn’t sure though that their style would fit mine.  I was super excited when Taylor a local Trunk Keeper contacted me and wanted to share some of the pieces that Matilda Jane offers.  I got to try on most of the spring pieces and I loved each and everyone!

Matilda Jane only puts out their lines twice year and it is slowly released over the following months to build on their collections.  At the end of the season (usually January and July) typically they host their End of Season Sale.  Matilda Jane is currently having their end of season sale with up to 40% off on a ton of women’s and girls’ pieces.

One of my favorite pieces was the Sunday Best Dress.  I loved the carefree and easy style that is perfect for twirling!  The print is what first caught my eye when looking through the pieces.  I loved the combination oranges, yellows, and pinks and how it created a feminine floral feel.  The prints are designed by an in house artist exclusively for Matilda Jane.

My youngest decided to jump in on the photo and I couldn’t help but add it!  He is always the first one to tell me how beautiful I look!

Another reason why I loved this dress was the style!  I loved the neck detail that is definitely in trend this summer season!  This dress can be worn with or without a belt depending on the silhouette that you want.  I loved it both ways!  I added turquoise accessories to continue the summer feel.  Since the dress and accessories were bold I went neutral with my shoe choice.  These have quickly become a favorite pair of mine!  They are comfortable and go with so many dresses and skirts.

I ended up ordering a few items Monday from Matilda Jane.  I couldn’t resist adding more to my closet.  Be on the look out this week for how I am styling all of my Matilda Jane pieces!  Let me know what you end up getting and which looks are your favorite!
