Let me Introduce you to Ruby

This past week I returned to work after a long glorious summer home with my boys.  I needed easy and comfort for this week since the transition is usually a little rough.  It was even harder this year since I sent my youngest off to kindergarten.  I didn’t think I would cry, but I can’t lie I shed quite a few tears.  I decided to make this week easy to get ready by wearing dresses all week.

Let me introduce you to Ruby.  She is in my mind the perfect dress from Karina Dresses.  There are so many reasons why that she is my favorite.  Ruby is always ready to be worn and never has wrinkles.  She makes you feel like you are put together, yet is incredibly comfortable.   Ruby is unassuming, and figure flattering for most body types!  The faux wrap style gives you the look of a classic wrap dress without all of the hassle.  The sash at the waist helps enhance your curves in all the right ways.  Ruby is also perfect for a day at the office or an evening out.

The simple geometric print is full of rich fall colors.  The light purple and cream help make this dress perfect to transition from summer to fall.  It looks perfect with a pair of summer flats and a lightweight cardigan.  I can’t wait to try wear it in the fall with tights and boots.  What is your go to style on crazy weeks?

Loft Fitting Room Review: Nov. 12

Last night hubby and I had date night, and I talked him into a trip to The Loft!  With 40% off I couldn’t resist stopping by to see what was new.  I didn’t get to try on nearly as much as I would have liked, but here are some of the pieces.

This burgundy and navy dress was gorgeous!  I love the print of this dress, and the fit was perfect.  If you have an hour glass figure or would like to create the illusion of one this dress is for you!  It cut in at the smallest part of my waist then flowed out perfectly!  I tried on a 2  and a 4.  The two fit, but there is an elastic band built into the dress and was a tad tight.  The 4 fit perfectly.  Unfortunately, at this time I do not have an occasion to wear this dress.

This black tie top was a perfect basic piece.  I am normally a small, but I grabbed a size medium and fit great.  For a flowier look size up two sizes!  I have so many black tops that I decided to pass on this one also.

I was the most excited about trying on this top.  I am starting to think about the holidays and pieces that I can wear multiple ways.  I wanted to love it so much, but I wasn’t thrilled with the ruffle on the shoulders.  The placement was a little off for me.  This is a size small.  I didn’t try the medium on, because I was afraid that it would be to big in the midsection.  Plus hubby was ready to go!

This sweater more than made up for the previous top!  I am in love with this sweater!  For reference this is a small.  I love the length and it is the perfect weight to layer or wear alone.

This last dress is the perfect!  It embodies so much that I love!  Im obsessed with the fact that it is a swing dress, it is striped and a cowl neck!  I got a small in this dress, even though I think I could have sized down to an x-small.

There were so many other great pieces that I didn’t have time to try on, but will definitely be on my Christmas list!  Which look did you like the best?
