My Favorite Dress for Fall

There are so many things that I love about this dress!  I fell in love with this dress as soon as I saw it!  I decided to be good and not spend the money at that time.  Then that weekend Loft had a sale online, and I couldn’t resist!  If you are loving this dress as much as I am check out Loft’s Halloween sale right now!  Everything is currently 40% online only using code MYSTERY40.

Let’s talk about what I love about this dress!  The fabric is thick and soft and oh so comfy!  It literally feels like you are wearing your PJ’s.  There is nothing better than a dress that looks great, but is not constricting.  My other favorite part about this dress is how forgiveness of the shape.  It flows away from the body hiding all the parts I want hidden.  My favorite part though about this dress is the sleeves!  Double bell sleeves that just make this dress a little extra special!  I cannot wait to style this dress with leggings and booties now that it is a little cooler!  So after I wrote this post I realized that it sold out!  Never fear though I linked some of my favorite bell sleeve dresses that are currently on sale.

How to Wear Athletic Shoes for the Office

I am loving the athleisure trend lately!  Athleisure is a trend where workout clothing is worn in other settings than the gym.  This can include leggings, yoga pants, zip front hooded sweatshirts, and tennis shoes dressed up and styled fashionably.   The idea of being comfortable yet stylish is key in my busy life!  The fact that you can pair athletic shoes with just about anything makes me happy!  As a teacher, I am constantly on my feet and there are some days I know that will be crazier than others!

These Nike TR6 shoes have become some of my favorite pairs!  I bought them last October for a trip to Disney.  I wanted something that was versatile and that I could dress up a little depending on the outfit and what we were doing.  They are so comfortable I wanted to try and to wear them for school on a non jeans day.  Here are three tips on how to wear a pair of athletic shoes at the office!

1.  Cotton Dress

Cotton dresses are extremely comfortable and in the right style can be dressed up or down depending on the look your going for.  This dress from JCrew factory has become a favorite.  The fit is absolutely perfect.  For reference I am wearing a size small.  I loved this one so much at $24.00, I bought it in two other colors.

2.  Cute Jacket!

A bomber jacket can dress up any look.  I have been looking for one for quite awhile and when I found this one at Loft I fell in love.  I loved the silky material and they colors of the floral print.  They were perfect to transition into fall!

3.  Jewelry

Adding accessories to any look gives it a more polished feel.  They don’t have to be over the top pieces either.  A simple pendent necklace and earrings give this look a finished appeal.

Have you tried the athleisure trend yet?  If so what is your favorite styles to wear?

Polka Dots and Crop Tops

One of my favorite patterns is polka dots and I cannot seem to get enough of them!  When I saw this adorable crop top from Shein I knew it was perfect for summer and to transition into fall.  It was also the perfect top to attempt to make crop tops appropriate for a 36-year-old mother! I decided to pair it with a high-waisted maxi skirt.  I have found when wearing this top that high-waisted items make it more comfortable for me to wear.  Do you wear crop tops?  If so how do you wear them?  I would love some more ideas on how to style this adorable top!
