Loving My Closet Again February Picks

Since January picks went so well I have decided to do another month of #lovingmyclosetagain!  You can see my January picks here.  I ended up keeping most of the items and purging a few more.  I also did pretty well on shopping this month too.  You can read about the items I purged, kept, and purchased here.

Most of the pieces I chose for February, I have had in my closet for over a year. They have only been worn once or twice.  These pieces I haven’t given the love and attention they deserve!  A few of these picks I have added because I am not sure if they still fit.  I figured this is the perfect time to give them a try too.

So the rules to this challenge for those of you who are new are simple:

  1.  Choose ten pieces that you will wear in the month of February.
  2. Then decide if you love that pieces or if it is time to let it go.
  3. If you do not wear a piece decide if it truly deserves space in your closet.
  4. If the answer is yes then move it to a more appropriate month to wear.

I hope that you all decide to join in.  I would love to see your picks and if you decide to purge or keep your items.  Post your picks on Facebook or Instagram and tag your pictures #lovingmyclosetagain.

Loving My Closet Again: Purged, Loved, and Purchased

I am so excited with the results of #lovingmyclosetagain!  I am really proud of how well I did wearing items that have been in my closet.  I didn’t stick to just these ten items, but I found myself reaching for items that haven’t received love in quite a while! Be on the look out later this week with my new ten items for February.  So here is the breakdown on what I decided on all of the items I kept and the ones I got rid of!  What was the result of your January picks?

Here are the items Purged:

This is the first one I decided to get rid of.  I loved the fit, but I have so many tunics that I love that I decided to slim down my collection.  These two sweaters also didn’t make the cut.  The first one I just felt like was too big. I wasn’t crazy with how it fit my body.  I felt like it was very bulky and not very flattering.  The grey sweater I also decided to not keep.  This one was way to snug!  I wasn’t too disappointed about these not fitting though.  I had gotten so many sweaters for Christmas it was nice to make some room for the new ones.

These three items I am still on the fence about.  The month of January was so cold that I didn’t wear many skirts or dresses so I am going to hold on to them and save them for warmer months.  I have a feeling I will wear them more in the spring.  The last sweater I am on the fence about.  I am hoping to wear it though this week.  I love the lace detail, so I am hoping it still fits well!!!

Here are the items I kept:

This mustard tunic was a definite keep!  I love the weight and color!  This tunic is one I need to pull out more often!

I absolutely love this sweater from Loft!  I got this one last year, and I feel in love with it all over again!  First and foremost the print is what made me grab this sweater.  The turtleneck and weight are perfect for winter.  I love that I can pair it with black skinnies for work, or jeans for a casual weekend day!

I wish I would have gotten a better picture of this leopard dress.  I absolutely loved this outfit!  Unfortunately, my selfie stick had died that afternoon and my son wasn’t around to snap a picture!  I cannot to wear this dress in the spring with a cute pair of booties!

This outfit was inspired by trendyschoolcounselor over on Instagram. I loved the way that the cobalt blue paired with the mustard yellow.  I would have never thought to pair the two together and I loved the outcome!

Basic Invite

As many of you know my blog is almost solely fashion and clothing.  Every now and again, I love to bring products that are useful  and fun!  That being said I was really excited when Basic Invite contacted me to do a review on their products.   I love personalized birthday invitations and with my boys’ birthdays coming up I thought I would give them a try!  I love the ease of printing out party invites.  There are so many options when it comes to the variety of photo cards.

Disclaimer:  This post was done in collaboration with Basic Invite.

Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers almost unlimited color options with instant previews online. Once you select a design you can change the color of each element on the card to over 180 different color options so you can make sure the card is exactly how you want it down to the littlest detail.

Another great quality of basic invite is that you can order custom samples.   Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers the ability to order a printed sample of your actual invitation so they can see exactly how it will print as well as the paper quality before you ever have to place your final order.

Basic Invite is just as colorful with their envelopes as we are with their invitations. Customers can choose from over 40 different colors when it comes to your envelopes so that they can make your invitation stand out even before it is opened. All of our envelopes are peel and seal so the envelopes can be quickly and securely closed.

If you are needing invitations for a big event I love how Basic Invite offers an address capturing service that allows customers to simply share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other form of social media to request your friends and family’s addresses.  These address will then  be stored in the customer’s account and can then be selected during the design process. Basic Invite offers recipient address printing at no cost on all Christmas card orders.  I wish this option would have been available when I had gotten married.  It would have made the process of addressing cards so much easier!

I cannot wait to check out their Christmas cards next year!  Right now Basic Invite is offering 15% off with coupon code: 15FF51

As I have gotten older, I have realized how important it is to have a sink care routine.  I have not always been the best at keeping to one.  With getting closer to the age of 40 I decided it was time to become a little more serious about my skin.  When Saranghae, a Korean company, contacted me about reviewing the product I jumped at the change.  I was excited that it was a 5 step routine and that everything was laid out for me.  I also love their philosophy that, “There is no such thing as an overnight miracle”, but establishing a nightly routine is crucial to obtain beautiful skin. Saranghae’s natural ingredients simply make this process easier.”

When I received the products in the mail I was anxious to get started.  In 2017, I was not using products consistently, and At that time I wasn’t using anything other than facial wipes to remove my makeup.  With the 5 Step Routine these are the products that I received:

1. The Saranghae Moisturizing oil + Foam Cleanser (formulated with Truffle extract and GOLD), which both hydrates and nourishes your skin while removing your make up.

When I first used this product I wasn’t sure about how dry my skin felt afterwards.  Once though I used the next two products though I changed my mind!  The cleanser made my face feel super clean.

2. The Saranghae Deep Radiance Essence+ Serum: Provides nutrients (antioxidants, amino acids, and vitamins) to your skin for healing and regeneration.

3. The Saranghae Firm & Lift Cellular Regeneration Cream: Which helps diminish age spots, decrease redness and visible signs of aging.

These two products are absolutely wonderful!  I love the way that they feel when I use them.  They are lightweight and leave my skin feeling extremely soft and smooth.  There is no gunky feeling like some moistures can make your skin feel.  I love that when I put my foundation on afterwards it makes my skin look extremely smooth and blemish free.

4. The Saranghae Focus Renewal Eye Cream: Helps restore vitality, diminish wrinkles, lifts and firms the skin, and lessons the appearance of dark circles.

This is probably my favorite product out of all of them!  I hate the dark circles that I constantly have no matter how much sleep that I get in a night. This I felt has helped reduced the appearance of the dark circles, and are easier covered by concealer.

5. The Saranghae Elemental Essence Mask: Helps reduce existing pigmentation over time for radiant skin.

The mask is perfect excuse to slip away and relax with some mommy time!
