One of my favorite patterns is polka dots and I cannot seem to get enough of them! When I saw this adorable crop top from Shein I knew it was perfect for summer and to transition into fall. It was also the perfect top to attempt to make crop tops appropriate for a 36-year-old mother! I decided to pair it with a high-waisted maxi skirt. I have found when wearing this top that high-waisted items make it more comfortable for me to wear. Do you wear crop tops? If so how do you wear them? I would love some more ideas on how to style this adorable top!

I know that many people who follow along are not teachers, but my mind right now is in back to school mode. School begins on Monday, and I can’t believe that we are starting already. Do you remember being in school and loving getting new notebooks and pens? I still get excited over shopping for new supplies. When school supplies arrive in stores, I still search for the perfect notebook and planner. Of course as a self-proclaimed shopaholic I love shopping for back to school clothes. Here are some closet staples that I think every professional female needs in their closet! It doesn’t matter if you are a teacher or work in an office. If you have to dress up these items are a must. Most of my picks come from my 3 favorite stores Loft, Old Navy, and Nordstrom.
When picking out what categories I felt were closet staples, I thought about pieces that have been in my closet through multiple seasons. I also tried to choose pieces that could be easily mixed and matched with each other to help expand your closet. What are your closet staples you can’t live with out?

I have fallen in love with Karina Dresses. These dresses are extremely comfortable and wrinkle free! The fit is made with specific body styles in mind. The Penelope Garden Dress is perfect in fit and style. It is a great dress for an hourglass body shape, inverted triangle shape, triangle shape, oval shape, and rectangle shape! I love the colors and floral pattern.
I love this dress and how it can be dressed up with a pair of flats or heels. The pop of yellow and cobalt blue is a new pairing that I want to try again! This dress can also be dressed down with a jean jacket and a cute pair of white tennis shoes!

I am wearing the Ruby in Seaside Watercolor. Karina Dresses are made with real women in mind. Within the description of each dress they give you the body types that it will fit the best. The Ruby is a faux wrap dress that is perfect for a hourglass body shape, inverted triangle shape, triangle shape, oval shape, and rectangle shape!
The faux wrap and neckline of this dress gives full coverage. There is no need to tug or adjust constantly throughout the day.
I love the vintage feel of this dress. The attached sash helps define the waist even more with the flared skirt. I couldn’t wait for a warm day to pair this dress with these fun heels from Chinese Laundry! The pop of red screams spring and warmer weather!
As our warm temperatures continue this week. I am hoping to be able to wear this dress to work with a pair of red flats. Which dress is your favorite style and how would you wear this dress?
