How to dress Americana in Unexpected Ways

I am joining up with four of my favorite Instagram ladies!  I am so incredibly lucky to call these women friends!  I cannot express I love our daily chats, and the continuous humor. We are bringing you our take on Americana for the 4th of July.  You can read my previous posts on 4th of July fashion here and here.  Back in January, we also showed how we styled our athletic shoes.  I love how unique each of our styles are, and how they are easily attainable!

As soon as I found these adorable red lace up shoes, I knew I wanted to use them for a post on Americana looks.  When I found this romper at Loft I knew that it was a perfect outfit in the making!  I love the simple lines of this romper, along with the ruffle detailing.  The material is lightweight which is perfect for the 4th of July in Indiana!  Since I know we will be outside, I wanted to keep my jewelry simple.

The 4th of July usually coincides with the beginning of monsoon season in Arizona, so light, loose clothing is where it’s at. This Knox Rose top is perfect for hot days and warm nights! I prefer to go a little more low-key than full-on “Olympic athlete” 😉 to celebrate Independence Day, so just a few touches of red round out my theme.

Hi ladies! Thanks to Mandy for having us back again :). For a fun 4th of July look, I’ve paired 2 on-trend items in holiday colors – white cropped, wide legged trousers (in cool linen), and an off-the-shoulder red and white stripe top (just $18 on Amazon). I finished the look with navy and white stripe d’orsay flats. This look would be perfect of an evening barbeque when temps begin to cool off. Hope you all have a wonderful holiday!

I love being patriotic with my outfits. A fun pair of red, white & blue pants with bold jewelry makes it simple. I chose this white peplum because I can easily wash out any stains😂 And the peplum gives me room for extra ice cream😄. I may switch to sandals on the fourth, but I like the look with these pointy toes for now.

You don’t have to wear a flag t-shirt or even Stars and Stripes to be patriotic!  Sometimes it’s fun to wear a not so obvious red, white and blue look!  I thought it would be fun to go with florals and ruffles in this Cabi top.  Paired with a Target white denim skirt and a blue bag it makes a great patriotic look! I did a subtle pattern mix with these striped shoes for a little added fun.  A bonus is that this is a super cool outfit for the super hot Texas summer!

  1. These outfits are so fun! I was thinking – it’s kinda funny that we all dress up for the 4th of July, but it’s also such a fun time to get creative with our wardrobes and putting together colors we might not typically pair. I love your flowered pants outfit best!

  2. All of the outfits look great for the holiday without being what I call “teacher-y”. I’d wear any of them!

  3. These outfits are so perfect. I really love how you’re embracing the red white and blue theme without looking like you’re a flag! lol
