You know how I said last week I didn’t have any cold shoulder items. Well as of this week this item #3! Do you ever find yourself not sure about a trend, and then decide you love it and buy everything that you can? Well, that is me and I find myself doing it all the time! I’ve decided that summer cold shoulder tops are now my favorite thing! I am still not sure about wearing them in the winter though.

To say I am obsessed with florals and stripes is an understatement! They are two of my favorite patterns and are the perfect patterns to pattern mix together. I have a huge section of my closet dedicated to these two patterns. This dreaming of floral top from Simple Addiction was a must have with new obsession with cold shoulder tops. This top has so many perfect details. From the criss cross top, the feminine cold shoulder, down to the flowiness at the bottom.
I have been looking for a striped cotton skirt for a while. I found this one from Simple Addiction, and I love it! For sizing purposes this is a medium. I could have sized up to a large for a slouchier fit. This one works perfectly though for a more polished look! I decided to knot the top to give the silhouette of this top a more defined outline. These two pieces I consider closet staples. They can be worn with so many other looks, and into other seasons!
Since the humidity has been high in Indiana, I decided to keep my accessories simple. I decided the colors in my bracelet stack from Centered Jewelry helped enhance the look versus make it even busier. When pattern mixing, it is a delicate balance to make everything work. I also added my Elisa Necklace that I won from Tiff and Nicole’s giveaway on Bright on a Budget and What Nicole Wore. It is the perfect layering piece, but is also one of my favorites to wear on its own.
Simple Addiction is one of the first site’s I found after joining Instagram. I loved their trendy, but reasonably priced items. Everything I have ever ordered or received from them have been of the highest quality. Currently Simple Addiction is having their Anniversary Sale. There are so many fabulous items on sale and for great prices. The sale is July 15-24. You can also use code MANDY15 for an additional 15% off. What are your favorite pieces?

Matilda Jane is a name that is mainly associated with fun and whimsical clothing for young girls. As a mom of boys I have not had much of a chance to explore the wonderful world of Matilda Jane. I have loved their pieces for young girls and thanked god that he knew I would be poor if I had girls.
This past year I became aware that Matilda Jane is not just for kids. They have a women’s line too! I loved the fun prints, and the built-in pattern mixing that most pieces offer. I wasn’t sure though that their style would fit mine. I was super excited when Taylor a local Trunk Keeper contacted me and wanted to share some of the pieces that Matilda Jane offers. I got to try on most of the spring pieces and I loved each and everyone!
Matilda Jane only puts out their lines twice year and it is slowly released over the following months to build on their collections. At the end of the season (usually January and July) typically they host their End of Season Sale. Matilda Jane is currently having their end of season sale with up to 40% off on a ton of women’s and girls’ pieces.
One of my favorite pieces was the Sunday Best Dress. I loved the carefree and easy style that is perfect for twirling! The print is what first caught my eye when looking through the pieces. I loved the combination oranges, yellows, and pinks and how it created a feminine floral feel. The prints are designed by an in house artist exclusively for Matilda Jane.
Another reason why I loved this dress was the style! I loved the neck detail that is definitely in trend this summer season! This dress can be worn with or without a belt depending on the silhouette that you want. I loved it both ways! I added turquoise accessories to continue the summer feel. Since the dress and accessories were bold I went neutral with my shoe choice. These have quickly become a favorite pair of mine! They are comfortable and go with so many dresses and skirts.
I ended up ordering a few items Monday from Matilda Jane. I couldn’t resist adding more to my closet. Be on the look out this week for how I am styling all of myMatilda Janepieces! Let me know what you end up getting and which looks are your favorite!
Summer is in full swing here in our household! I feel like we have been running nonstop since April. Between baseball for both of our boys, and soccer for one of them we are running ragged! Once a month hubby and I try to get a night out with just the two of us. It doesn’t always happen especially in the height of sport’s season. With the end of baseball we are planning a date night for just the two of us. When we go out we love to have a nice dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. I normally indulge on these nights since they are few and far between.
Since I know our date night is on the horizon, I have begun to outfit plan. For date nights, I like something special that I feel confident and sexy in, without being over the top! Summer is a perfect time to show a little skin yet remain modest. This high neck top is in one of my favorite color palettes. I am not sure why, but I am always drawn to neutrals.
I am also drawn to golds and leopard print when I go neutral with my colors. I love the way that they casually accent one another. These Marlana sandals by Koolaburra from UGG were the perfect pairing! I love the slight wedge that helps elongate my legs, but aren’t too high that I will be uncomfortable by the end of the night.
Before collaborating with Koolaburra, I never realized that UGG made anything other than boots. I was not disappointed by the choices on their site! Koolaburra has everything from boots, sandals, sneakers, even slippers! These Marlana beauties are extremely comfortable! They have a padded insoles that makes these sandals perfect for all day wear not just for a night out! The zip up back make it very easy to slip them on and go! What is your go to look for date nights?
I cannot believe that the 4th of July is almost here! Which means that my blog anniversary is right around the corner! One of my first blog post was inspiration for the 4th of July! You can read about the different looks here. I was never one to dress for the holidays, but since starting Instagram I have loved how others have used holiday colors for inspiration. When I received this Call Me Dot top from K.E.Y. Boutique I knew I wanted to create a 4th of July inspired look!
Here in Indiana, the 4th of July is always extremely hot! That means tanks and shorts are a must! When I started planning on how to style this top the polka dots reminded me of the stars on our American flag. With that, I knew that I had to add a pair of red shorts. These shorts from JCrew Factory are the perfect length. The elastic waist also helps for all the food I plan to eat! To keep with the Americana feel I added a simple pair of stripped Old Navy Flip Flops. With a few simple accessories for Sugar Fix this look is complete! What are you wearing for the 4th of July?

When I saw the Victoria Beckham line for Target I was adamant that I was not going shopping. The items were adorable, but I had made the decision that I needed to cut back on my shopping. I resisted until that evening when I went out of town for work and we had to stop at target. I got the cutest lace bomber jacket. Then, my sweet friend, Amanda from abcmomstyle got the bee scarf and I feel in love. My first trip to my Target yielded no scarf, but my persistence paid off! When I ran in real quick last weekend to grab some things for the boys’ Easter Basket I found this on on the rack. It was the last one and you can bet I snatched it up!
I’ve been wanting to wear this scarf since it came home with me. I love how it pairs with the Nina Eyelet Dress from Lavish and Luxe Boutique. I don’t usually gravitate towards this color, but I wanted to give it a try! I am so glad that I did! The yellow and green colors are so fun together! The fit is a swing style and is incredibly comfortable! Use code MANDY15 for 15% off!
