We are in our final week of summer break and I am beginning to think about my school wardrobe! It is always fun going back to school, I feel like I gain a whole new section in my closet. I have noticed my last two shopping trips have switched to school related items and pieces for fall! This morning was cooler and overcast and had me dreaming of fall layers!
On Thursday, I took a mommy day and did a little shopping at Loft. I didn’t make it anywhere else, but I found plenty due to the fabulous Loft girls at my local store! Here are the items that I tried on and came home with me!
This Lou & Grey top I think was my favorite purchase. Like most Lou & Grey items, this tunic is incredibily soft and comfortable! I have last year’s winter version that is long sleeved. I wore it constantly, and was excited to see that they had a short sleeve version for this season. I find most Lou & Grey items run a size large. This top was no different, I ended up sizing down to an x-small.
Most of the items I was trying on didn’t look great with the shorts I had worn that day. So I grabbed a pair of bi-stretch kick crop pants in Julie fit. TIP: if you have patterned bottoms on or go shopping in a dress grab a neutral pair of bottoms to try clothes on with. This will help decision making so much easier! I ended up falling in love with the fit and have been thinking about them ever since I left. These pants may have to come home with me on the next 40% off sale! These pants fit true to size for me. I am normally a size 4 in the Julie fit and they were perfect!
I am a sucker for just about anything Leopard print, and this top was no exception. I loved the heavier material that helped give it a shape rather than just being boxy. This top will be a perfect top to wear alone or layer later as the temps begin to drop. This top was true to size and I got a small. It is also currently 40% off! How cute will this look with my new Sam Edelman black flats from the #Nsale? Speaking of leopard did you see the leopard dress I got during my last Loft visit? Check out the blog post here.
I am still trying to get used to documenting everything for the blog, so In my excitement, I forgot to take pictures of most of my purchases! Some of my favorite IG ladies were asking to see what I got so I tried to capture them. The quality of the picutures isn’t the best, but you can get an idea!
This sweater tunic is perfect! It is currently $15 and comes in cream, black, navy and a gorgeous blue! Unfortunately, my store did not have my size in the blue so I got the cream knowing it would go with just about everything! This top runs large, and I sized down to an x-small. Can you picture this with skinnies, booties, and a scarf! Can you tell I am dreaming of fall?
This dress caught my eye when it first came out, but I thought to myself do I really need another stripped dress. I was able to resist up until this last visit. It was on sale with an additional 50% off which made it $27. The only size they had was x-small so I figured I might as well try! It fit perfectly! I love how soft the fabric is and how comfortable the entire dress feels. This dress is another piece I can imagine with boots and layered with a scarf or a cardi! I didn’t realize when I bought it that it can also be worn off the shoulder! Score another way to change up a perfect dress!
Where to begin with this dress…..It is Lou & Grey, a swing dress, and the most comfortable thing in my closet to date! It fits true to size, and I got a size small. The color is hard to see in the picture but it is a charcoal grey. Surprisingly, I do not have anything in this color so it was a must! It also comes in black. If you do not have a swing dress yet you need one in your closet! The fit is perfect, like most swing dresses! I have the perfect red plaid scarf I cannot wait to wear with this!
This top almost did not come home with me. At the time I thought do I really need another white top? The fit and and the detailing on the neckline won me over! This top is an online exclusive and fits beautifully! I loved how it came in at the waist and hit right above my hips. Luckily, this top made the cut! I ended up ruining a few of my favorite white tops in the wash that very afternoon! This top comes in four colors including black, a blush, and a merlot. It is also currently 40% off!
